Internet Explorer: the new Netscape 4?
Internet Explorer makes it impossible to use a lot of elegant solutions without having to code around it. With a marketshare of 95% IE is too important to neglect making it feel like Netscape 4 a couple of years ago.
For example, I’m using png’s for dropshadows on a current project but IE has a strange bug where links stop working when using png’s.
Also the redesigned mozilla uses an elegant round box corners solution that is not appearing in Internet Explorer (this is a known and accepted issue, they’re using the elegant :before and :after pseudo-elements, which aren’t supported in IE).
Is there hope? According to Wired magazine Firefox is wired and IE tired expired, whatever that means.
